The American culture is becoming part of my culture. My country is affected by Americanization in every parts of the culture. Start with the food; right now the new generations are eating McDonald’s, KFC, Starbuck and Pizza Hut, instead of the rice and our traditional foods. Kids are speaking English and forgetting their own language. I guess Hollywood has had a special effect on people’s mind. The new generation wears Hip-Hop clothing and listens to rap music. Even now, it’s cool to convert to Christianity instead of traditional Buddhism. Some are dying their hair blonde. They don’t want to look like Thai anymore. What’s wrong with that? Say that the young generation has last it’s Thai identity. “They won’t be able to grow if they don’t know their roots”
